2a06 Aluminum Alloy

2a06 aluminum - copper - magnesium lines typical of the hard alloy, its composition is more reasonable, better overall performance. Many countries are producing the alloy, is the largest amount of hard aluminum. The alloy is characterized by: high strength, a certain degree of heat resistance, can be used as 150 ° C below the working parts. Temperatures above 125 ° C, the strength 2a06 alloy is higher than 7075 alloy. Thermal state, annealing and quenching conditions forming the new performance is better than heat treatment significantly enhanced the effect, but the heat treatment process demanding. Corrosion resistance is poor, but with aluminum coating can be effectively protected; easy to crack when welding, but can be welded using a special process can also be riveting. Widely used in aircraft structures, rivets, card wheel hub, propeller components and various other structures.

● Heat treatment:

 

1) Complete annealing: heating 390 ~ 430 ℃; with the effective thickness of different materials, holding time 30 ~ 120min; with 30 ~ 50 ℃ / h speed with furnace cooling to below 300 ℃, and then cooled.

 

2) Rapid thermal annealing: heating 350 ~ 370 ℃; with the effective thickness of different materials, holding time 30 ~ 120min; air or water.

 

3) Quenching and aging: hardening 500 ~ 510 ℃, air-cooled; artificial aging 95 ~ 105 ℃, 3h, air-cooled; natural aging room 120h.

 

Status: aluminum and aluminum alloy extruded bars (≤22mm, H112, T6 state).
